Adrian Torres
Adrian Torres spent 26 years incarcerated, entering prison at age 24 and returning home at 50. During that time, he committed himself to personal growth and healing through many self-development programs, including the Insight Garden Program which helped him better understand community, responsibility, and the power of transformation.
Originally from Oceanside in San Diego County and now living in Sacramento, Adrian remains deeply connected to supporting others who are still inside and those preparing to come home. Drawing from his lived experience, he continues to mentor and encourage people navigating their own journeys of accountability, growth, and reentry.
As a Mexican American and someone directly impacted by incarceration, Adrian believes strongly in giving back, repairing harm where possible, and contributing to communities that help people grow—not only for themselves, but for the generations that follow.
For Adrian, the work is simple but lifelong: to keep growing, keep giving back, and help create the kind of community he once needed himself.
