Margaret (Maggie) Pelcastre Hernandez grew up in the Central Valley, where agriculture shaped her early understanding of land, labor, and community. As the daughter of immigrants, she developed a personal connection to the experience of starting over and the importance of second chances.

Maggie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fresno State. Before joining Land Together as staff, she volunteered with the CCWF program, an experience she describes as her most meaningful volunteer work to date. She loves learning from others and is looking forward to the connections this work brings.

Outside of work, Maggie enjoys time with her family and reading.Lauren is also a certified Intermediate Herbalist with a Permaculture Design Certificate and in her spare time enjoys creating herbal remedies and working in her permaculture garden. She especially enjoys spending time with her two children, her partner, and 5 rescue animals.
